Escondido, California

The CHP Tour event in Escondido, California will take place at the Hale Avenue Resource Recovery Facility from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 3rd, 2019.

Utilizing digester gas from the wastewater treatment process, the 800 kW biogas CHP system generates renewable electricity and heat for the facility's operations. The Hale Avenue Resource Recovery Facility  meets the domestic and industrial wastewater treatment needs of the City of Escondido and the Rancho Bernardo area of the City of San Diego. It is designed to treat a flow of 18 million gallons per day of wastewater. The HARRF has twice been awarded “plant of the year,” receiving this award from the California Water Pollution Control Association and from the California Water Environmental Association.

Come to the CHP Tour event to learn the benefits of Combined Heat and Power and see this state-of-the-art 800 kW CHP system in operation. CHP offers many benefits including the opportunity to significantly reduce your energy costs.
